Know that panicky sensation you get when your gas-gauge needle hits “E”? Then imagine how it must feel for families facing an everyday fuel crisis: hunger.
The good news is: We can all help. And at CARS of America, and we’ll reward you in return. Simply donate three non-perishable food items and you’ll save $10 on any service of $50 or more.
CARS of America’s goal: Pack one of the company’s courtesy shuttles full of food by Thanksgiving.
CARS of America has partnered with two community food pantries as food collection/donation sites. Our Glenview location is allied with the Northfield Township Food Pantry in Northfield, while our Evanston facility is working with Hillside Food Pantry in Evanston.
Help us create a cornucopia on wheels by packing our courtesy shuttles full of food by Thanksgiving!
“As a matter of principle, we believe charity begins at home,” Bob Dupre, CARS Director of Business Development, said. “CARS of America has always supported local charities, such as Habitat for Humanity, and shelters for local victims of domestic violence.
“We had donated to the Northfield Township Food Pantry a couple of years ago and realized the extent of the need that exists, even on the affluent North Shore. Now we want to do more in Glenview and Evanston to help those who struggle to put food on the table.”
CARS of America’s goal: create a cornucopia on wheels by packing one of the company’s courtesy shuttles full of food by Thanksgiving.
“Make no mistake: We’re committed to being a year-round collection site until hunger in our community is extinct,” Dupre said. “But we also wanted to kick things off with a bang, and filling our courtesy shuttle with food is a great way to ‘roll’ out this program.”
