The “transmission” in your hybrid vehicle barely resembles a conventional automatic transmission.
It contains an electric motor and a few gears to connect the internal combustion engine and the electric motor to the wheels. It also contains an electric generator to charge the hybrid battery.
Most shops and dealers do not have the equipment to test these electrical components. Instead, when the transmission fails, they replace the entire unit.
At CARS of America, we have the equipment to test and replace either electric motor in the transaxle. We can also repair the “mechanical” gears inside the transaxle, but fortunately, they rarely fail.
We’ve also invested in world-class training to help you keep your hybrid affordable, reliable and safe. If you have a concern about the way your hybrid is driving or performing, give CARS of America a call today.
