Rosemary Smith, a veteran Pro Rally Driver, tooted around a race course in Southern France in a 596kW Formula 1 race car to accomplish that distinction.
Not just any F1 race car, but a hybrid electric race car. By comparison, many Prius models are rated around 95 Horsepower for the 1800cc 4-cylinder gas engine, plus 96 horsepower from the 73kW electric motor. So the F1 is electrically, 11 times more powerful, and the 2,400cc internal combustion V-8 engine that develops 750 HP at 18,000 RPM is 8 times more powerful. that isn't a typo; 18,000 RPM!
The Prius rides better, but doesn't should quite as good as the Formula 1, for those of you that are familiar with the sweet sound of a 2.4 liter V8 at @ 18,000rpm
I guess we could say that that F1 is your grandmother's Renault!
